If this is a message board to Mark Mathews, I just wanted to say congratulations on the that wave in West Oz. Holy Shit! I still have an overwhelming sense of vicarious joy for you after checking out the photo sequence on Magic Seaweed. Frickin unbelievable. When I first saw the second picture, when the lip bulks up and you’re in that wrapping, lurching, heaving bowl of angry looking water, I said to myself, I believe out loud, “why do people even surf waves like that?” By the end of the sequence it was clear why. That had to be the most wonderful feeling. Your a master. Well done. Thanks for the inspiration. Rock on.
